Coca-Cola turn shipping containers into water purifying community centers for the developing world

Coca-Cola have launched a project to turn shipping containers into "Ekocenters" - solar powered community centers with built in water purifiers.

It's meant to provide clean water, basic supplies, mobile charging and connectivity and Coca-Cola drinks to people living at what Coca-Cola calls "the Bottom of the Pyramid" (the nearly 4 billion people who live on less than US$2 per day).

There's more info on Coke's website and I was first alerted to this on The Verge.

(And in case you haven't noticed, ekoc is coke spelled backwards)
