Shipping containers could become cottage
From what I can tell, having a cottage as a summer home seems to be a thing in Canada. According to the CBC, Colleen Lashuk from Montreal wants to build a cottage out of used shipping containers in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. There's a minor problem - there are local bylaws against turning shipping containers into dwellings. However, all hope is not lost as the council will be holding a meeting next week to possibly change to bylaw.
